Yes Minister, Essex Farms

Yes Minister is a Sports Bar in Essex Farms, Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi

Delhi's Bowling Alley Future Bowl has been restored and refreshed as Yes Minister. The restored version is sure to attract and gather the youth of the city.

For the launch of this sports bar, 50 bloggers from the city were invited with a +1. You can imagine the number of people that were present to get bowled. I interacted with the Owner and the Interior Decorator, who not only were excited but thrilled to share their new menu and take one - on - one suggestions / feedback from their audiences.

Ambiance --
Yes Minister's support is their Bowling Alley, Snooker Table, Ice Hokey, Mechanical Bull, DJ and huge LED Screens to keep everyone entertained all at the same time. Its spacious and not cluttered. They have a huge Bar, which serves classy cocktails and mocktails.

Food Talk --

Below is a List of Dishes & Cocktails that we tried with a small Description and Rating. Like I said, Cocktails were classy. Food still needs improvement.
  • Minister Explosion Cocktail - Made of Gin, White Rum, Grenadine and Pineapple Juice and Milk Bar was neatly presented in a tall glass. Sweet and Tangy at the same time. Well balanced flavors. Rating 5/5
  • Jalapeno Fried Mozzarella - Stuffed Jalapeno wraps with file deep fried pastry served with sweet chili dip. Rating 4.5/5
  • Yes Daiquiri Cocktail - Rum based cocktail with a ice lolly stick inserted. This was ordered by almost everyone. The flavors that were available were Mango, Strawberry, Lime & Orange. Rating 4.5/5
  • LIIT (Long Island Ice Tea) - A regular LIIT has a mixture of Gin, Vodka, Tequila, Triple sec., Rum, all balanced well. Too often, bar tenders do not get the mixture balanced and the drink goes haywire. Rating 3/5
  • Caribbean Chiller - A rum based coconut cream cocktail which had fresh mint and Pineapple Juice. Too much coconut according to me. Rating 2.5/5
  • Goat Cheese & Bacon - Small tarts filled with goat cheese and bacon. The tarts were a little soggy and bacon had no flavor. Rating 2/5
  • Prawn Escabeche - Grilled prawns flavored with garlic and served in a medley of artichoke & avocado. It was served with a spiced tabbbouleh dip. Rating 2.5/5
  • Chicken Satay - Marinated, skewered and grilled Chicken was served with a peanut dip. Chicken was not well marinated. But the dip was very good. Rating 2.5/5
  • Fish & Chips - Crumbled fried fish served with minced green pea puree, potatoe chips and coleslaw. Rating 3/5
  • Peri Peri Chicken Pizza - A pizza topped with Mozzarella cheese and chicken. It lacked in spices. Rating 2.5/5
Dessert --
  • Coconut & White Chocolate Pana Cotta with Olive Caramel, Mango Coulis and White Chocolate Granita - As long as the name goes, this was the worst dessert I have ever tasted.

Overall, it was nice meeting so many Food Bloggers in the Capital. Experienced Bowling after college days made the evening even more delightful. Oh! And I forgot, during the game, Sangria's were being served. A Fun filled evening :-)

Even with such large gathering the staff was courteous and helpful.
