Smokey's BBQ & Grill - Khan Market

Shiv Karan Singh opens his newest venture and 3rd Smokey's in the chic Khan Market. A market which always has the Best food joints. Smokey's BBQ & Grill opened its doors in June. A friendly, casual diner for people who love Food and Wine. Its comfortable and exciting at the same time.

Believe me when I say, its a kind of place where laughter and joy of your lunching folks boosts over music. The place for fresh barbequed meats, delicious burgers, smoked / molecular cocktails and a huge variety for Wine.

Exactly, that kind of place! :-)

Ambiance --

As you enter a flight of stairs take you to the 1st floor. Your eyes capture the wall mounted with wooden drawers, curated warriors and artistic helmets. Brick wall and wooden interiors make the ambiance contemporary yet rustic, inviting and comfortable. The second floor, is a lounge that has a wall done up with colored Vodka bottles in different sizes (adds a beautiful touch), Bar and an Al-Fresco dining area.

We started with their Signature Molecular (giving some thrilling experience) Cocktails -- Food -- Dessert and Hookah, which completed our early Dinner on a Sunday evening.

Sharing below are Names, Description and Rating -

Molecular -
  • Deconstructed Water Melon Caprioska - A vodka based watermelon cocktail muddled with a frothy mint on the top. Rating 4/5
  • Royal - A famous french cocktail made of white wine using creme de cassis. It consists of a ravioli which is placed on a spoon next to the cocktail glass. The ritual involves to gulp down the Ravioli before you sip your Royal. Sounds fun, isnt it? Its a must, must try. Rating 5/5
  • Lock Stock n Smokin' Barrel - Smoked cocktail with cardamom and vanilla gives it the extra edge. Do not forget to order this too. Rating 5/5
Among these we also tried their Cocktails -- Caribbean Martini, The New Old fashioned, Smokin' Cosmo Sipper, Smokey's Passion and Super Bowl.

Food Talk --
  • Spicy Coconut Prawns - Grilled prawns in spicy coconut milk with BBQ marination gave it an Asian twist. Rating 4/5
  • Zucchini French Fries - Long crisp batons of zucchini served with garlic dip. Its finger food and not too oily. Rating 3/5
  • Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli in Red and Mix Sauce - Ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta tossed in tangy red as well as in a mix sauce. It was made with love and is super delicious. I would recommend it even for meat lovers. Rating 5/5
  • Kasundi Marinated Grilled Fish - Fish fans should try this dish. Indian Basa marinated with Kasundi mustard. Rating 4/5
  • Burger Slider & Hot Dog -  Burger slider that was placed in front of me had an assortment of Tenderloin, Six Chillies Chicken, Lamb with buttered onion & Bacon and Lamb Burger. I grabbed the Six Chillies Chicken burger and found it good.
If you do not have the stomach for Sliders, you can easily opt for the assortment of Hot Dog. However, I would recommend you to have Vegetarian Burger Slider which consists of -- Madras Curry Burger Slider rather than the Non Vegetarian.. I could not resist looking at my Vegetarian diner buddies enjoying their sliders so much. A must, must try. Rating 4.5/5
  • Spicy Grilled Chicken Wings - Cooked in wood fired oven, marinated with in house spices, these grilled chicken wings were juicy. Rating 4/5

Dessert --

We tried Apple Crumble Pie, The Classic Mud pie (Would have been better with a scoop of ice cream), White Chocolate Mousse Paffe and Banofee Pie. Out of these I found Banofee Pie the best. Its homemade pastry topped with toffee, cream, banana and grated chocolate layered.

The meal came to an end with a Paan Mint Hookah and it came in the form of the tall AK47 gun. Smooth, long lasting mint flavor.

Overall, an incredible dinner time. Friendly staff, so much that they will explain the dish and are just a call away. Prompt service.
